Former School Security Guard Acquitted of Sexual Assault

The former East St. Louis High School security officer wants to be rehired by the school.

Former East St. Louis High School security officer Isaac Turner, 43, was acquitted of sexually assaulting a student and now wants to be rehired by the school.

The officer was charged in 2012 with criminal sexual assault of a teen but was found not guilty on Feb. 5 in a bench trial, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Turner is now fighting to clear his name and reputation in the community.

The teen alleged Turner took her from campus to a tavern he supposedly owned. Evidence revealed, however, that the officer didn’t own a bar and that the date of the alleged assault was on a Sunday when the school was closed.
