BUFFALO, N.Y. — The 67-acre campus of Erie County Medical Center was put on full lockdown Wednesday morning after a woman was fatally shot.
Police say the shooting occurred at about 8:15 a.m. inside an adjacent building that contains outpatient services and offices, reports the Associated Press. SWAT teams cordoned off all of the entrances.

The Buffalo News reports authorities are looking for 49-year-old Timothy Jorden Jr. as a person of interest. Jorden is a well-known, popular trauma surgeon at the hospital who was formerly an Army Special Forces weapons expert and medic.
Authorities say the attack was not random, reports KWTX.
The 33-year-old victim who was shot several times has not yet been identified. Incoming patients were diverted to another local hospital. Two schools on the campus were also placed on lockdown.
