7 Security Cameras to Watch
Tyco Security Products, based in Westford, Mass., has released a temperature performance improvement to the Illustra Flex Series of IP cameras, providing end users in colder environments with better IP video solution.
The new 1 and 3 megapixel Illustra Flex Outdoor Mini-Domes operate in -40 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius (-40 degrees Fahrenheit to 122 degrees Fahrenheit) using standard PoE power instead of 24vAC power. This change lowers the overall power consumption, according to Tyco Security Products, and simplifies the wiring infrastructure necessary for outdoor camera installations.
