YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — A man was sentenced to 92 years to life in prison for a shooting at a Youngstown State University fraternity house that left one dead and 11 others wounded.
Columbus Jones Jr., 23, was convicted of murder and other charges in the death of Jamail Johnson, a senior at Youngstown State University, the Associated Press reports. Jones had left the frat party after an argument on Feb, 6, 2011, and returned with a weapon. Johnson was killed while trying to get a group of partygoers out of harm’s way, according to police.
Five others have also been charged in connection with the shooting.
