Another point CPTED experts commonly make is that you’re never done maximizing your campus security. Officials should always be looking for ways to make improvements. As you can see in the image above, Sandy Hook Elementary School had a fairly strong building design and an open view of most part of campus. The doors were even locked on the day of the shooting, but the shooter broke through glass panels next to the front entrance to gain entry.
