The EOP team should be coordinated and work based on a mutual understanding, especially of each other’s vocabulary. Each person on the team should know their roles and responsibilities and a regular schedule of meetings should be laid out.
School emergency management is an ongoing effort that is reinforced with regular meeting times. The meeting schedule can be somewhat flexible, but scheduled meetings can help facilitate collaboration, coordination and communication both among team members and with important outside players.
