BCDVideo of Northbrook, Ill., releases the BCD380V8 video recorder of its Nova Series video recording platform.
The device can archive up to 500Mbps and an additional 200Mbps dedicated for video redirection (700Mbps total throughput), accounting for 40% greater bandwidth capability over standard video recorders and IT servers being used for video, according to the company.
The company maintains that when deploying a BCD380V8 archiver with Genetec Security Center software, the security integrator can easily handle up to 500 720p video cameras in a single 2U chassis housing 73TB of RAID 5 useable storage.
