Lighting is another important part of CPTED. In the large example above, lights facing the building side give the impression from the street that it’s occupied and secure. Lighting in other parts of campus, using lights like the one shown in the bottom left photo, help deter would-be criminals and reinforce the feeling of safety to the community.
