Examples of CPTED Concepts on Campus
We close with two examples of CPTED complementing other security measures. On the left, the design of the store ensures people enter and exit campus through the same entrance. Using this concept while implementing a video surveillance system can save you thousands by minimizing the number of cameras needed.
On the right, special trees make it easy for an officer to drive through the area and see everyone walking on the sidewalk. Maintaining easy lines of sight on campus could lessen the number of patrols necessary to cover campus.
