“On the afternoon of Saturday, February 24, 2024, PSO John Lim displayed exceptional valor and quick decision-making skills. When an ambulance arrived with a psychiatric patient on board, it was revealed that the patient had a BB gun. Tension escalated as the patient became embroiled in a heated argument with another individual in the ambulance bay and brandished the BB gun. Despite initially not realizing that the weapon was a BB gun, PSO Lim swiftly acted to secure the patient’s belongings, including the BB gun, and safely remove them from the patient’s grasp. His swift and resolute actions effectively averted any potential harm to others in the vicinity.”
